Zuidvelde is a small village, consisting of (former) farm houses containing about 200 inhabitants. It is located near the town of Norg in the north of the Dutch province of Drenthe.
The village was first mentioned in 1325 AD, but earlier settlement is probable, as there are several burial mounds from the Iron Age nearby.
From this point you can start a hiking or cycling tour.
