Ian Lyons and Lisa Yardley eloped, got married and have lived in London for some time. They move to the village of Snowle where her family come from. Her family take an instant dislike to Ian. To earn a living Ian takes to being a photographer, despite having no training in photography. The comedy of the show revolves around how Ian deals with his in laws and village life in general.
