Our family noticed this dedicated tree after searching for a geocache here. The memorial is a granite rock that reads:

I did a quick online search for any info on Ryan and discovered his grave in Little Shasta Cemetery nearby. He was born on May 19, 1973 in California and died on February 09, 1990 at the age of 16.
