This tiny park is immediately south of the fire hall on Union Avenue, AKA the eastbound half of Highway 2 in downtown Newport.

This little park was dedicated in 2012, as indicated on the stone which names the park. It consists of a grassed area with a concrete walkway across and a concrete pad in the centre supporting a pair of stone benches facing the stone containing the park name and another, flanked by seven flags and bearing the following inscription:

Armed Forces of the
United States of America.
May those who made the
ultimate sacrifice never
be forgotten.

Description of Memorial: Large flat inscribed stone in a small park. We had no idea this park, nor this memorial, was there. Happened to see it while driving by and slowing down for the fore hall.
