The Scenic Trail is one of the more popular hiking and biking trails in the McDowell Mountain Regional Park. It is located in the upper Sonoran desert. The trail begins in a desert wash and winds up a ridge to this tremendous overlook. It is the high point of the trail and provides views east into the Verde River valley, west across the park to the McDowell Mountains and north to other desert ridges. There is a dedicated bench inviting visitors to rest observe and enjoy.
