"The Grippen Park BMX track is located under the roof of the former Grippen Park Ice Rink. The ice rink was closed after a major flood hit the Greater Binghamton area in 2006. In 2008 track operator Gary Gitchell, and current and former board members Chris Edwards, Toby Hintze, & Brenda Hintze started the process with Broome County and Village of Endicott officials to open a track at this location.

Since that time, Grippen Park BMX has grown to be one of the most well known tracks in the region. Known for our special events, Winter Racing Series and holding the largest non-national races we have quickly risen to be a "go to" spot. "
