The war memorial in Gieten (municipality Aa en Hunze) was founded in memory of all fellow citizens who died during the occupation by war.
Among them were 24 Jewish citizens.

The war memorial in Gieten is a boulder, on which a text and names are arranged in brass letters.

The text on the boulder is:
