The decoration of British Telecom street side junction boxes is part of an initiative by Southwark Council in the Borough and Bankside areas. Funding from Borough & Bankside Community Council's "Cleaner Greener Safer" scheme is being used to make these boxes more attractive and to try and deter graffiti and fly posters.

The main image on the front of the box is Tower Bridge. It is framed by green foliage and to the left is an image of the sun on the horizon and two boxes of produce that appear to be oranges and bananas. The images are on a purple background that extends to the ends and top of the box with the green foliage border also extending onto those surfaces. The box is against a wall so the back of it is the usual drab green used by BT.
