The decoration of British Telecom street side junction boxes is part of an initiative by Southwark Council in the Borough and Bankside areas. Funding from Borough & Bankside Community Council's "Cleaner Greener Safer" scheme is being used to make these boxes more attractive and to try and deter graffiti and fly posters.

The box is against a low wall that has railings on top and a wooden fence behind the railings making the rear of the box difficult to photograph but it is blank. The main image that starts on the front of the box and wraps around the ends and on the top is of lemons and white star-bursts.
