The school is hidden behind a dense row of spruce trees, just behind which stands this bell, mounted on a large cube of concrete. The bell is a Number 24, in a Number 24 yoke, Made by the C.S. Bell Company of Hillsboro, Ohio.

We can only assume that this was the original school bell and was salvaged when the old wood frame school was caused to fall down, either by incendiary or mechanical means, either by accident or intention.
