This monument is located in the north of Colmar. It commemorates the Liberation of Colmar by the 5th Division of the 1st French army on February 2, 1945.
The monument is a concrete wall with a marble plate. The plate contains the emblems of Colmar and the 5me Division Blindée. It describes the liberation of Colmar by French troops with American assistance on February 2, 1945.
Below there is a smaller plate, that was later added, commemorating the Polish participants in these battles in Polish and French.
Just next to the memorial there is an old Sherman tank, that was involved in the battle on display.
