The first airport was built in the 1930s. It is now distinquished as the "new" airport. The runways are east-west parallel to HW80.

It has two runways and supports approximately 200 aircraft.
mostly single engine, about 20 with multiple engines, 5 helicopters, and 2 ultralights.
It is a full service airfield with 24 hour fueling; mechanical services, pilots lounge.
It stays busy. and was heavily used by Cal fire contractors during last seasons fires. Civil Air Patrol also has a presence.
Elevation 1,539 ft./ 500 m.
It lies 3 miles north of Auburn.
