This Czechoslovak post stamp issued in 1988, from series devoted to contemporary Prague' architecture, depicts headquarters of former state foreign trade enterprise KOOSPOL (nowadays CUBE office center) in Prague-Vokovice.
The monumental KOOSPOL building, work of architects Stanislav Franc, Jan Novácek and Vladimír Fencl, belongs among the best examples of brutalist architecture in Czech lands. KOOSPOL, constructed in 1974-1977, is spacious square ground plan structure (60×60 m) illuminated by large atrium with park and flowing water. Whole KOOSPOL looks not so massive thanks to supporting "stem" separating the building' core from the ground levels.
