Christ Church is built in the Victorian Gothic Revival style of locally quarried limstone walls and a shingle roof. The foundation stone was laid on 10 September 1892 and consecrated on 11th April 1893., making it one of the oldest suburban parish churches in Perth. Extensions to the church were built in 1901 and 1909, the tower was completed in 1938 with the bells from the church of St Paul's, Canonbury, London being installed in 1988
