The decoration of British Telecom street side junction boxes is part of an initiative by Southwark Council in the Borough and Bankside areas. Funding from Borough & Bankside Community Council's "Cleaner Greener Safer" scheme is being used to make these boxes more attractive and to try and deter graffiti and fly posters.
The artwork is covering two utility boxes that stand close to each other thus creating a larger "canvas". The artowrk depicts various types of fish in the "tank" and also shows toys for them to play or hide in such as a castle and a skull.
