St Cuthbert’s Church in Darlington is built of local stone ( bluestone on the lower part and granite on the upper)and tile roofed with low stone boundary walls and a lych gate , designed in the Inter-War Gothic style. The foundation stone, behind which a glass jar with a description of the event was placed, was laid on 13th September 1924 and the building was consecrated on 1st March 1925.
