The chapel of St Michael and All Angels is located on the grounds of Parkerville Children's Home ( originally called The League of Charity Home for Waifs and Stray Babies ) The Home was founded in 1903 by the Sisters of the Anglican Church. The Chapel Sanctuary was built in 1922 in memory of Sister Jane Ashdown (who died in 1921) and dedicated to former boys of the children's home who lost their lives in World War One.
The brick and tile chapel replaced the original wooden one erected in 1909 and is still used on Sundays
The chapel being on private property is easily accessed by asking at the reception counter.
