On the south side of the Will Rogers Memorial Museum, along the stone wall beneath a covered portico are mounted several plaques honoring Will Rogers. From his endeavors in entertainment, public service and aviation, he is recognized as a moving force in the early decades of the 20th Century. This plaque was dedicated by an Apollo 14 crew member to honor Rogers' vital input into the world of aviation. The inscription reads:
