Champ de Mars is a public park near the historic town center of Colmar.

The park dates back to the mid 18th century, the area was outside of the city walls and was called "Les Vanolles"; it was used for public events and military exercises.
In 1793 it was renamed to Champ de Mars; in 1808 the northern part was separated, since 1856 this part has the name Place Rapp.
In the center of the park there is a large fountain with a statue of Admiral Bruat, created by Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi in 1864. Bartholdi also creat the statue of General Rapp on the adjoining place.
In one corner of the park there is an traditional wooden carousel from 1900; it is said that it is the largest one in Europe.
