The Štramberk Municipal Library (Mestská knihovna Štramberk) is located together with a small pension in neo-Renaissance building of former grammar school in the main public space of this pictoresque small historic town - The Square (Namesti).

The building, build by town' authorities in 1862, was used as a grammar school until 1998. Today You can find here a small pension "The Old School" ("Stará škola") with capacity of 40 beds in 10 rooms and with restaurant. In this building is also Štramberk municipal library (Mestska knihovna Štramberk) (it was moved here from its original seat in the town' firehouse). The municipal public library was founded by town' citizens in 1920.
