"The J. Eastburn Barn [built about 1809] is a bi-level, stone structure with a frame front wall and a recess stable. The walls on three sides are constructed of light-colored fieldstone with large, roughly dressed, rectangular fieldstone quions. The frame wall has been re-sided with the board and batten, probably causing the removal of a winnowing door. The barn measures 37 feet by 52 feet. It stands in its original form with very few alterations or additions. One exterior edition is the shed roof on the south east long wall, which is was added in the 1930s to shelter sheep." – National Register Nomination

The barn was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
