The Silverton Casino and Hotel opened its doors on 8 May, 1994, as Boomtown Las Vegas. After ownership changed, it was renamed the Silverton Casino and Hotel in 1997. It is located just off I 15 at Blue Mountain Drive in south Las Vegas.
The hotel has 300 well-apportioned rooms, decorated with a western motif. The casino floor houses over 1,600 slots and poker machines, as well as a large selection of table games. Construction of a new hotel tower is currently under way, with a scheduled completion time of fall, 2015.
Of note is the large indoor saltwater aquarium and the adjacent Bass Pro Shop located next to it.
