The J. Lindsay Barn is a large stone building with finally laid, dark fieldstone walls accented by round-arched doorways and windows. Large rectangular and square quoins anchor the corners. The date stone in the southwest gable reads: J & SL 1824. Two gable cupolas sit atop the gable roof.

The J. Lindsay Barn is significant as a grand illustration of the transition from log construction to more durable stone buildings during the first quarter of the 19th century and it stands as one of the most skillfully executed stone barns in the county. ~From nomination form

The barn has been renovated and restored and now serves as professional offices.
