Cricket is considered the national sport of Barbados and the West Indies. Barbados has produced some of the greatest Cricketing Legends in the world such as Gordon Greenidge, Charlie Griffith, Seymour Nurse, Desmond Haynes, Malcolm Marshall, Wess Hall. Joel Garner, Sir Clyde Walcott, Sir Everton Weekes, Sir Frank Worrell and of course the greatest all rounder ever Sir Garfield Sobers.
Opened in 2007, the museum is a tribute to (42) Barbadian/West Indian Cricketers and cricket legends, who played a significant roll in the success of their teams. The museum features a Portrait Room, cricketing memorabilia and a Press Gallery.
In addition to the museum there is also a gift shop and the Pavilion Bar and Restaurant.
Special opening hours usually apply when international matches are being played at the nearby Kensington Oval.
