This is the cemetery for the early settlers and pioneers that forted here at Blackmore's Fort, a early fort on the Clinch River. Frontier explorer Daniel Boone and his party forted here from October 1773 to March 1775.

Most of the graves are unmarked, but there is a marker for David C. Cocke who was a private in Daniel Boone's Milita, and a marker for his wife, Jemina Leach Cocke.

There are seven honorary markers placed here in 2010 by the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Earliest Burial: 02/28/1828

Latest Burial: 01/01/1863
