The current Glebe house was built between 1821 and 1823 on land which was bequeathed to the Immanuel Parish in 1719 by Richard Halliwell a New Castle merchant.

The house is composed of three sections, all brick; a three bay to a half story plus attic south portion east-west ridgeline; a lower middle section of three bays with the shed roof; and or section comprising the original kitchen.

Since the early part of the 20th century the house is been used continually as the rector's residence. The house is in excellent condition.
