Die hölzerne Friedhofskapelle nach dem Vorbild norwegischer Stabkirchen wurde 1908 bis 1911 durch den Kirchenarchitekten Gustav Werner errichtet. Bekanntes Vorbild ist die Kirche Wang im Riesengebirge. Die hölzerne Inneneinrichtung, die sparsame Bemalung, die farbigen Jugendstil-Glasfenster und die wertvolle Orgel von Wilhelm Sauer sind im Originalzustand erhalten. Der 1859 geborene Gustav Werner wurde 1917 gegenüber seinem Bauwerk am Kapellenvorplatz bestattet. Heute finden in der Kapelle nicht nur Trauerfeiern und Gottesdienste sondern gelegentlich auch musikalische Veranstaltungen statt.

The wooden cemetery chapel along the lines of Norwegian stave churches were built in 1908 and 1911 by the architect Gustav Werner church. Known example is the church Wang in the Giant Mountains. The wooden interiors, the economical paint, colored Art Nouveau stained glass windows and the valuable organ by Wilhelm Sauer are preserved in their original state. Born in 1859 Gustav Werner in 1917 buried against his building at the chapel forecourt. Today, in the chapel not only funerals and church services but also sometimes musical events.
