It all began with a Nash Ambassador that had been mounted at the entrance to the now closed drive in theatre on the north side of the highway on the west edge of town. That one is no longer there. Instead, either it or another identical one is now mounted on the south side of the highway, in front of a casino at Dakota Avenue.
Next came an Argosy trailer on the south side of Highway 2 at the West Second Street Extension. Finally there is this truck, a 1½ or 2 ton 1938 Chevy. It has been at least repainted, possibly restored, but only to a minor extent. Eagle eyed aficionados will notice that the grill isn't correct unless they look closely. It's a fake, painted plastic or sheet metal bolted or screwed in place of the original grille. The truck has a stake side box, indicating that it likely wasn't a farm truck.
This truck is on the south side of Highway 2, in front of Ace Hardware at Idaho Avenue. This explains the "Ace" painted on the doors and the grille.
