Located within the Cantor Arts Center and in the Susan and John Diekman Gallery (south entrance to the museum) is Auguste Rodin's monumental bronze sculpture The Thinker. It is a cast bronze sculpture and the tenth of only 12 original casts. The Georges Rudier Foundry cast this enlarged version in 1972. If you look up from the statue, you see a skylight dome that provides some nice natural lighting on this magnificent sculpture. The combined dome and sculpture make for a grand presence in this part of the museum.
