There is a bronze disk placed by the Texas Department of Transportation and stamped with the number 283 found near a telephone pole at the intersection created by Brookhaven Dr. and NE Loop 410 Access Road. The disk is a bit smaller than a normal benchmark disk. The only information on this disk is the name of Texas Department of Transportation arching around the top edge of the disk, with the number 283 stamped along the bottom edge of the disk. The center of the disk is blank except for what appears to be an intentionally marked spot located a little off of where the center point is on the disk. No other markings, text or numbers are scribed in the bronze. There also appears to be some very minor damage to the disk, as if something scratched the bronze within the blank center area above the intentionally marked spot. The scrape could have been from a lawn mower driving over it. The scrape did not interfere with the text or the numbering on the disk.
