"This simple church was first dedicated in 1505 to St Winwolus, the first Abbot of Landevenac in France. In 1881, badly needing repair, it was completely rebuilt, except for the tower. At that time it was reconsecrated to St Nicholas. The church belongs to the Egloskerry Benefice."
