St. Norbert Column is the oldest stone column with saint in Prague. The straight column, atoped by statue of St. Norbert in bishop's vestment, is equipped by decorative volute head and stands on prismatic pedestal. Statue was sculpted from unknown fine-grained sandstone by Zacharias Bossi di Campione.
St. Norbert, founder of the Premonstratensian order, is buried in nearby Premonstratensian Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary (Bazilika Nanebevzetí Panny Marie).
