The memorial is facing Bourbon Street and the West entrance to the park.
Countless Saint Lucians fought and died in World War I from 1914-1918 as part of the British West Indies Regiment.
The inscriptions on the plaques read:
"To the glory of God and the abiding memory of the men of Saint Lucia who lost their lives in the Great War 1914-1918. (names)
