This Border crossing pole can be found near the bike /foot patch whitch runs parallel along the de Dutch German border.
The Duch side has a capital N (Nederland = The Netherlands), the German side the capital H (Hannover, capital of the state Niedersacksen, Germany).
On the German side the year 1824 indicates the date the pole was put here.
On the Dutch side the weathered number 53 can be seen,
It has both a detoreated painted 53 and a small aluminium plate with 53 on it.
