To find the Missoula Cemetery: Traveling S Hwy. 93 exit N. Reserve St. In 200 meters turn left on Old Grant Creek Rd, continue SW to Raser Dr., 1.5 km. Continue on Raser/Cemetery Rd. 1.5 km then turn N on N. Russell St. to cemetery, 300 meters.

The Missoula Cemetery is a very large city operated cemetery located in Missoula County. There are 21,909 known interments.
The second oldest cemetery in Missoula, it was begun in 1884. The oldest is the Fort Missoula cemetery, not quite a decade older. Initially built by private interests, the cemetery was sold to the city in 1901 for the nominal fee of $1.
The city of Missoula takes pride in the upkeep of their city cemetery. It is beautifully landscaped with tree lined roadways. Take some time and explore this most interesting cemetery. You will discover several broken column headstones, Woodman of the World, an Elk's Lodge memorial, some very old headstones worn from the passage of time, and several obelisks that tower above all others. Sky King is buried there.
