This simple Pony Express route marker, has a nice piece of bronze art, which is seldom look at closely.

The relief itself is a figure of Jack Kectley, dressed in hip-length jacket, cowboy boots, western hat, and scarf, sits atop a horse in full gallop. Jack was the first relay rider to leave the station at Marysville, Kansas and headed west on the very first run
