Built somewhat as a buffer between the commercial buildings of downtown Missoula to the west and the residential neighborhood of East Pine Street, to the east, this building marks the western edge of the East Pine Street Historic District. The NRHP seems to be uncertain of its exact date of construction as, on different pages it lists differing dates of construction.

The Watson Building was initially built bearing the address "200 East Pine" but now bears the addresses "200 East Pine" and "210 East Pine". It is a long, two storey brick building with arched windows at its southwest corner with large decorative keystones over all arches. Its entrances are protected by flat roofed porticos, each supported by six Corinthian columns with a mock Italianate portico and decorative pediment over the west entrance on Pine Street.

No longer purely a commercial building (if it ever was) it is at least partly apartments today (renting for about $625 for a 1 bedroom apartment).

The building is a contributing building to the East Pine Street Historic District.
