MW0604 - USCGS 'N 19' BM - Bray, CA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark from 1919 in good condition. This disk is also listed on a topography map as 'BM 4644' and contains the elevation stamping of '4643.317' in addition to 'N 12' and '1919' on the disk face. The NGS datasheet is adequate for recovery with the eception that there is no longer any witness post. My more accurate coordinates will place you very close to this station.

AT BRAY, ALONG THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY RAILROAD, 139.3 FEET WEST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE STATION, 91.0 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST RAIL OF THE MAIN TRACK, IN THE TOP OF THE SOUTHWEST ONE OF FOUR CONCRETE BLOCKS (FORMER WATER TANK FOUNDATION), 2.5 FEET EAST OF A WITNESS POST, AND 0.8 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND.
