A geometric Aztec design silhouette, guards the front entrance of the 1920's Freed Building. Now a performing arts venue, but for many years it was the home of the Freed Company store. Located alongside the Mother Road, in Albuquerque, New Mexico

The Freed Company, Historic Route 66, 415 Central Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM, built 1920

"Back in 1920, Max Freed opened the Freed Company Store on Central Avenue in downtown Albuquerque. They sold merchandise from all over the world, and the store smelled like incense.
