The Chase Cemetery is across the Trans Canada Highway from the town, on Cemetery road, opposite Coburn Street. The cairn is at the front of the cemetery beside the parking lot.
Protected from the weather by a gable roofed pavilion supported by four stone columns, the cairn itself is a modified obelisk of white painted concrete, having a flared bottom which rests on a broad stone base. The front header is inscribed with the words:
BEHOLD THIS STONE
SHALL BE A WITNESS UNTO US
Centred on the front of the obelisk is a brass World War I plaque which reads:
To Our Glorious Dead
Who fell in the Great War
1914 - 1918
