The Canadair CT-133, also known as the 'Silver Star' or the 'T-Bird' went into production at Canadair in 1951 for use by the Royal Canadian Air Force. The aircraft was designated as the CL-30 for production purposes by Canadair.

The large wing tanks made the aircraft very distinctive. The CT-133 entered service with the Royal Canadian Aircraft as a trainer aircraft aand became known as the 'Silver Star'.

The aircraft ceased being used as a trainer with the R.C.A.F. in 1976.

This aircraft had a service ceiling (maximum allowed altitude) of 43,000 feet. It had a top speed of 570 miles per hour.

The Jet Aircraft Museum of Canada is located on the grounds of the airport and operates on a very limited schedule. Its intention is to obtain aircraft which have been flown by the R.C.A.F./Canadian Air Force and maintain the aircraft in condition such that they may be flown. It is my understanding that the museum has purchased six Canadian CT-133 aircraft.
