Built entirely of stone, this is a pyramidal cenotaph initially constructed to honour the soldiers of the Princeton District who fell in The Great war. In addition to the Great War plaque, other bronze plaques for World War II and the Korean War were later added to the cenotaph. It stands on a concrete base which has lights mounted to illuminate the cenotaph at night. The cenotaph was likely erected in the late teens or early 20s.

Veterans Square is a small triangular park surrounded by Bridge Street, Vermilion Avenue and Veteran's Way, on the west side of Bridge Street.
