This Texas Zephyr passenger car is the one that is the easiest to see from Highway 290W in Oak Hill, a suburb that has an Austin zipcode. There is also a well preserved train depot here.

These passenger cars were used by the Colorado and Southern Railway and the Fort Worth and Denver Railway (both of these railroads were subsidiaries of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad). The cars were used from 1940 to September 1967. Some of the cars were outfitted to be sleeping cars, and others were dining cars.
