I recovered this U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management cadastral survey cap from 1964 in good condition. This marker is a 3.5" brass cap mounted on a steel post projecting 8 inches above a lava rock outcrop. There are a couple of wooden witness posts next to the cap for easier recovery.

The cap is surrounded by some lava rock and a couple of wooden witness posts and within a rocky outcrop. The cap is located about 60 feet south of Gerber Rd and just north of an embankment that drops south in elevation towards Gerber Reservoir.

This cadastral survey cap marks the point defining 1/4 Section 2 and 35 in Township 39 South, Range 13 East.
