I recovered this U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management cadastral survey cap from 1964 in good condition. This marker is a 3.5" brass cap mounted on a steel post projecting 8 inches above a lava rock outcrop and about 60 feet south of Gerber Rd. The cap is just north of a rocky embankment that drops south in elevation towards Gerber Reservoir. There are a couple of wooden witness posts next to the cap for easier recovery. This cap is not listed in the NGS database.

My posted coordinates will place you very close to this survey mark.
