I recovered this Bureau of Reclamation benchmark in good condition. This is one of two benchmarks located at Gerber Dam. This mark is located at the north end of the dam and monumented flush with the surface of a walkway of the dam. The only stamping this disk contains is the elevation stamping of '4842.02'. Gerber Dam was constructed in 1925 so I would assume these benchmarks were monumented at that time. This benchmark does not appear in the NGS database.

You can access this benchmark by driving south along Gerber Dam Rd until you reach a campground on the right. Take the right into the campground and there is a cinder rock road that you can drive south until you reach a small gravel parking area. From there, you have to walk over some rocky boulders down to the dam. From here, you can walk down metal stairs and across Miller Creek via a metal platform, then hike up the embankment on the south side of Gerber Dam to the station.
