Weatherford College's Old Main Building is no longer with us, but its gateway arch remains, as part of a display on the plaza near the Doss Student Center, featuring pieces of the old structure.

Historic Plaza
This bell forged in 1879,
hung in the belfry of
WC's original "Old Main" campus.
It was run to signify curfew
and other special occasions.
The stone arch stood as part of the
entryway of the original building.
Thousands of students walked
through this archway in WC's past,
and now it serves as a gateway
to our future.
A Texas Historical Marker for that building is part of the display, and it says:
This wing, Old Weatherford Masonic Institute, always has been part of a school. Masons en route to lay the cornerstone, July 5, 1869, were delayed by a skirmish with Indians. Incorporated into main building of Weatherford College, 1895. Has educated many Texans.
