The Press- und Hammerwerk Ost was part of Krupp Gussstahlfabrik.
Since 1992 this modified factory hall is the car park for a Swedish furniture shop.
Today´s IKEA car park and the opposite Colosseum Theatre are the only preserved factory buildings of the former Krupp-Stadt. These two buildings had been the entrance to the manufacturing facility for more than 12,000 workers at the turn of the century.
