I recovered this U.S. Geological Survey benchmark from 1910 in good condition. *NOTE* I would NOT advise children or anyone nervous around trains to visit this mark. The Caltrains speeds by at approx 50 mph every 10 or so minutes.

My more accurate coordinates will place you very close to this mark. The following is taken off the NGS datasheet to describe this station:

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1954 IN MENLO PARK. IN MENLO PARK, 0.4 MILE NORTHWEST ALONG THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY RAILROAD FROM THE PALO ALTO STATION, AT STEEL BRIDGE 29.69 OVER SAN FRANCISQUITO CREEK, IN THE TOP OF THE SOUTHWEST END OF THE NORTHWEST ABUTMENT, 8.9 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHWEST RAIL OF THE SOUTHWEST TRACK, AND ABOUT 1 FOOT LOWER THAN THE TRACK.

01/01/1967 by NGS (GOOD) RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1967 RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION.
