Birds who spend their life on St Martin’s seas and shore lines are among others the National Symbol the Brown Pelican, Brown Booby, Great Black-backed Gull, Red-billed Tropicbird, Royal Tern, Roseate Tern, Least Tern and Brown Noddy.

The larger than life size bronze pelican sculpture is standing on a pile of rocks in the middle of the roundabout.
